사회학과

미국 텍사스 주립대학교(University of Texas at Austin)에서 사회학 박사 학위를 취득한 후, 위스콘신 주립대-밀워키(University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee) 사회학과를 거쳐 2016년부터 가톨릭대학교 사회학과에서 학생들을 가르치고 있다. 주된 연구와 교육 분야는 노동/산업사회학, 계층과 불평등, 의료사회학이다. 특히 서비스 노동자들의 불안정한 노동 환경과 산재 안전망의 사각지대 실태에 관심을 갖고 분석해 왔으며, 아파도 출근할 수밖에 없는 '유병 출근(프리젠티즘)' 현상을 통해, 노동 조건과 성별 격차가 취약 계층의 건강권에 미치는 영향력을 규명했다. 또한, 코로나19 시기의 정신건강 격차와 자산 불평등 속 젠더 구조를 추적하는 등 정치·사회적 불평등 이면의 역학 관계를 밝히는 데도 관심이 있다. 

평화와 커먼즈 연구자. 동아시아의 안보분업체제와 기지반대운동 연구로 박사학위 취득하고 동아시아 각 국가와 지역에서 안보와 발전의 관계 연구하고 있다. 기후위기를 비롯한 복합위기를 극복하기 위해 커먼즈를 통한 체제전환의 가능성에 관한 연구를 진행하고 있다. 한국커먼즈네트워크, 연구자의집, 포럼 생명자유공동체, 기본소득한국네트워크 등에서 활동하고 있다. 대표 저술로 "제주 해군기지를 둘러싼 투쟁과 강정마을 공동체의 변화", "미군의 대한원조 영상 속에서 재건되는 전후 주체", "엘리너 오스트롬의 자원관리론을 넘어서", "커먼즈와 커뮤니티 관계의 역사적 변동", "한국 커먼즈론의 쟁점과 커먼즈의 정치", "이탈리아의 민법개정운동과 커먼즈 규약 그리고 커먼즈의 정치" 등이 있다.

He is a scholar of peace studies and commons studies. He completed his PhD on security division system and anti-base movements in East Asia, and his research focuses on the relationship between security and development in East Asian countries and locals. He is currently conducting research on the possibility of system change through commons initiatives to overcome complex crises, including the climate crisis. He is an active member of the Korea Commons Network, Scholar's Commons, Forum for Life, Freedom and Community, and Basic Income Korea Network. His publications include "Jeju Naval Base and the Change in Gangjeong Village," "Post-war Subjects Represented in the Post-war Reconstruction Film of the U.S. Military," "Beyond Elinor Ostrom's Resource Management Theory," "Historical Evolution of Relations between Commons and Community," "Issues of the Commons Theory in South Korea and the Politics of the Commons," and "The Italian Civil Code Amendment Movement, the Commons Regulation, and the Politics of the Commons."

환경사회학 및 과학기술사회학 연구자. 서울대학교 환경대학원에서 가습기살균제 참사의 지식정치를 분석한 연구로 박사학위를 취득하고, 부산대학교 SSK 느린재난연구팀과 전북대학교 한국과학문명학연구소에서 박사후연구원으로 근무했다. 환경 문제로 인한 건강 피해, 즉 환경보건재난을 둘러싼 지식 생산과 경합, 전문성의 정치에 관심을 두고 연구한다. 최근에는 화학물질의 생산-소비-폐기-규제를 떠받치는 인프라와 잔여물(residues)의 축적과 변형 과정을 중심으로, 한국 사회의 다양한 독성 정치(toxic politics)를 규명하기 위한 연구로 관심사를 넓히고 있다. 대표 저서와 논문으로 『재난에 맞서는 과학』(민음사, 2023), 『대한민국 재난의 탄생』(공저, 동아시아, 2024), 「경계 너머의 책임: 가습기살균제 피해 판정 기준과 과학 자문의 정치」(2025), 「오염을 어떻게 포착할 것인가 - 1990년대 여천공단 오염 조사 논쟁과 측정의 정치」(2026) 등이 있다.

Park Jinyoung is an environmental sociologist whose work sits at the intersection of environmental sociology and science and technology studies. Her research examines how knowledge about environmental health disasters is produced and contested, and how expertise is mobilized and challenged in the process. Her current research extends these questions to the broader terrain of toxic politics in Korea, tracing the infrastructures that sustain the production, consumption, disposal, and regulation of chemicals, and following how their residues accumulate and transform over time. Park received her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Environmental Studies at Seoul National University and held postdoctoral positions with the SSK Slow Disaster Research Team at Pusan National University and at the Korea Research Institute of Science, Technology and Civilization (KRISTaC) at Jeonbuk National University before joining The Catholic University of Korea. She is the author of "Science in the Face of Disaster" (in Korean, Minumsa, 2023).

미국 Weber State University에서 Computer Science와 Information System & Technology를 공부했으며, 캐나다 Schulich School of Business에서 MBA 학위(NPO Management)를 받았다. 2019년 가톨릭대학교에 부임해 현재 경영학과와 사회혁신융복합전공 교수로 있다. 섹터 내, 섹터 간 집합적 협력을 통한 사회문제 해결에 관심이 많으며 이와 관련된 다양한 산학연구 및 산학협동교육 프로젝트를 기획·운영하고 있다. 대학과 대학 교육을 사회혁신의 실험장으로 만들기 위한 도전을 계속해 나가고 있다.
